Cabinets and Countertops · York County
Few walls in a prewar kitchen are straight, and the floors are rarely level, so an installer spends real time shimming and scribing to make cabinets sit right. Homes from the 1970s through the 1990s make up a big share of the county and are on their first or second kitchen. In rowhomes and twins the kitchen is often narrow and at the back, and the doorway can limit how big a stone slab goes in.

The showroom kitchen never has a crooked wall. Most kitchens in old York County houses do, so ask how they plan to hide the gap.
