Flooring and Tile · Wrightsville, PA
About two in five of the borough's homes were built between 1940 and 1979, the era of vinyl and asphalt floor tile. Older flooring and the backing under it can contain asbestos, and no one can tell by looking. Before an installer pulls up an old layer, ask whether they plan to test it, cover it, or bring in an accredited inspector first, which is what EPA advises before remodeling.
