Foundation and Structural · York, PA
Structural repair in a prewar city often means old masonry foundation walls, tired beams and walls shared with the house next door. Changing a load-bearing wall, beam or header needs a building permit, and on an attached house the work can reach the neighbor's side. Ask whether the contractor brings in an engineer and how they protect the adjoining house.
