Decks · Dallastown, PA
Footings set a deck's life span, and they have to go below the frost line, which each municipality sets in its own building code. Ask the builder what depth the Borough Office requires and whether the plan needs a permit, since decks more than about 30 inches up or at the main exit door generally do. Posts that touch soil should be rated for ground contact.
