Termite Control · York County
Eastern subterranean termites live throughout Pennsylvania, and Glen Rock's building code rates termite damage in its area as moderate to heavy. They travel up from the soil through mud tubes, and damage often shows up ten years or more after a house is built. Wood touching soil, porch posts, sill plates and damp basements or crawlspaces are where an inspector looks first.
Termite treatment is pesticide work, so the company needs a PA Department of Agriculture pesticide application business license and a certified applicator, both searchable online. Ask what the treatment is, how long the warranty runs, whether retreatment and repairs are covered, and what the yearly renewal costs.
A termite warranty is only as good as its fine print on retreatment and repairs. Read it before the swarm, not after.
