Pool Builders · York County
Pools here get a short season, roughly late May to September, and then a winter of freezing nights that makes closing up part of owning one. In-ground pools tend to go in on detached lots, the bulk of the housing in owner towns like New Freedom and Shrewsbury. The ground varies: parts of the county sit on limestone where sinkholes can form, and other parts on shale or hard rock.
Pools holding 24 inches of water or more need a building permit under the state code, and your township may add zoning rules for fences and setbacks. Ask who pulls the permits and schedules the electrical inspection, and whether excavation and rock removal are priced or left as extras.
Pool season here is short and the payments are not. Get the finished price, fence, electrical and patio included, before you fall for the rendering.
