Electricians · Spring Grove, PA
Knob-and-tube wiring went into houses from about 1880 into the 1940s, and about a third of Spring Grove's homes date from before 1940. Not every one still has it, but an electrician working in an older house should check before adding circuits, and many insurers won't cover it. Panel and wiring changes need a permit, so start at the borough office, which employs its own code official.
